Why the blog?

I get compliments on my domestic creativity. But my big secret is that I’m a master copy cat. Give me a chance to decorate, entertain, give a gift, or do a little crafting and I’ll search for weeks for the right idea to rip off. Join me as I redeem my plagiarism with methodical blogging aimed at original ideas. I’m going to out my copy-cat secrets and share with you the results of my domestic schemes. The goal?  A beautiful, original home.

Who’s the thief?

My name is Julia Perry. I’m a 30-something digital marketing exec with an insatiable appetite for the domestic arts. I’ve had people tell me that I should have lived in a different era. I use the good silver every day. I make handmade Valentine’s Day presents for my husband. I love a beautifully arranged vase of flowers and good southern hospitality. I’m short on time but big on ideas so I write when I can.
